At the Wig Training Centre, we offer three methods of wig making: lace (ventilating), hand-sewn, and machine sewn. There is no other training in Canada where you can learn three methods of wig making under one roof.

I decided years ago to learn the art of wig making using the three methods that I have described.  Through laser-sharp focus and mind-blowing practice, I can confidently say I have superior wig making skills.

I haven’t always been a wig maker. My background is in teaching. In 2017, I was fortunate to retire early from my teaching profession but I refused to spend my days idle. I decided to bury myself in the knowledge of wig making.

Virtual Class

If you have always wanted to learn how to make wigs using a sewing machine, this class is for you.

We will teach you everything you need to know about constructing a wig. Techniques such as plucking and bleaching knots will be covered.

Two wigs will be made in class:
1 closure wig
1 frontal wig

Two days, one-on-one virtual class $992.00.
We will email a supply list to you after class registration.

Two days, one-on-one in-person class $1,592.00.
In this class, we provide all the materials, including hair, frontal and closure.

No experience is required.

WIG MAKING USING HAND STITCHING. Two Days

If you prefer making wigs using a needle and thread, you will love this two-day wig making class.

We will teach you everything you need to know about constructing a wig, including techniques on how to pluck and bleach knots.

Two wigs will be made:
1 closure wig
1 frontal wig

Two days, one-on-one virtual class $992.00.
We will email a supply list to you after class registration.

Two days, one-on-one in-person class $1,592.00.
In this class, we provide all the materials, including hair, frontal and closure.

INTRODUCTION TO LACE WIG MAKING. Four Days

In no time you will become proficient in making a wig cap for ventilating. Hair ventilating is knotting individual strands of hair into a lace foundation or wig cap. Whipping is a term used to bind the seams in foundation or cap making.

You will learn how to create a head template, block padding, lay lace foundation and much more. We will also teach you how to make single and double knots.

One wig cap will be made.

Four days, one-on-one virtual class $1,492.00.
We will email a supply list to you after class registration.

Four days, one-on-one in-person class $2,192.00.
In this class, we provide all the materials.

No prior experience is required.

• One-On-One Virtual and In-Person Classes
• Our two-day, one-on-one classes are great because more focus and practice time equals mastery in no time.
• In-Person classes are located east of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
• No prior experience is required to take any of our classes
• Students will be awarded a certificate after course completion.
